Bioret relies on CHARGEPOLY to further decarbonize its fleet

After equipping itself with CNG-powered vehicles, the Bioret Group is now turning to electrification to further decarbonize its fleet. The Toulouse-based carrier has just equipped its subsidiary In'TERPECH's new site at Arpajon (91) with an ultra-fast electric charging station from CHARGEPOLY.

The Bioret Group is at a turning point. After having opted for LNG and CNG, the carrier based in Saint-Jory (31), north of the Toulouse metropolitan area, is reorienting its fleet decarbonization strategy in favor of electric power. When I joined the company in January 2023, my mission was to focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions,” recalls Victor Bioret, Sales and CSR Director and son of CEO Serge Bioret. After an in-depth study, electric power appeared to be the best solution for reducing the carbon footprint of the regular tractions we carry out in France on behalf of our express customers.” Since October 2023, the group has invested in thirteen electric vehicles: eleven tractors, one forwarder and one box carrier.

In September, Groupe Bioret installed an ultra-fast electric charging station by Aix-based engineering firm CHARGEPOLY to power the electric tractors and forwarders based at its subsidiary In’TERPECH’s new hub in Arpajon (Essonne). Equipped with three charging satellites, it delivers an installed power of 200 kW. The two electric vehicles, with a range of 300 km, operate inter-site shuttles for Bioret’s courier customers in the Paris region. The choice of CHARGEPOLY was based on several criteria: the flexibility of the three-terminal solution, which maximizes available power; the compatibility of the terminals with numerous truck manufacturers, ensuring the reliability of the charging process; and the attentiveness and support of CHARGEPOLY’s teams throughout the project.

We’re delighted to be working with CHARGEPOLY, a company with a long track record of installations with well-known names in the industry. We can’t wait to discover the station,” Victor Bioret enthuses.
